The 2nd Global Meeting of the Responsible Ecosystems Sourcing Platform (RESP) will be held on 3 November 2015 under the theme: “Advancing environmental and social excellence in the luxury industry”.
This meeting is by-invitation only and will be attended by representatives from the fashion, cosmetics and jewellery industries, as well as policy makers, research and civil society organisations who are currently working on improving practices and operations to effectively manage the natural capital of the luxury industry.
Participants will be able to:
- Share insights from industry and research leaders on approaches, tools and technologies being developed to improve environmental, social and animal welfare performance;
- Get informed about current international policy, regulatory and industry processes and learn from peers on the potential benefits and opportunities in engaging more actively with these processes;
- Explore how brands and suppliers are working together to improve the sustainability performance of the industry;
- Access state-of-the-art knowledge on practices that are being developed and tested on the field to promote net positive sustainability impacts with regards to small scale and artisanal mining, agroforestry systems, animal grazing and husbandry, farming and ranching systems.
